VOLUNTEER POSITIONS currently needed:
ADOPTION: Occasionally we have adult bloodhounds in need of family homes. They may be retired service dogs, retired breeding stock, or simply older puppies who do not thrive in a working environment.
KENNEL AND CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANCE: In our Wetumpka AL breeding facility.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT/PUBLIC SPEAKERS: This is an outreach program, and would include continuing education of the bloodhound and it’s uses to a community.
DONATIONS COORDINATOR: Many manufacturers and granting agencies offer assistance for non-profits. . .but it does take time to contact them!
GRANT RESEARCHER: This can be done by anyone with a computer and some extra time!
VIDEOGRAPHER: We have the cameras, we have the video equipment, but we need that artistic flair to put together presentation videos! Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. . .please enjoy the most unlikely cast of characters you’ll ever have the great fortune to meet!
FOSTERING (waiting list): Families take on the project of raising one of our bloodhound puppies from 10 weeks to approximately 7 months. The emphasis is on socialization, and exposing the puppy to a variety of situations in a controlled and safe environment.
